Says Suraj Kumar of Nayaghat, “There is resentment against the sitting MLA as he could not fulfill the aspirations of the people. If BJP changes its candidate, it will be beneficial. dashed,” he noted.

Asked about the anger prevailing among the traders, Ayodhya Vyapar Mandal President Nand Kumar Gupta said that shops need to be demolished to widen the road from Saadatganj to Ayodhya Ghat. “These shops are on the properties of Raja (Ayodhya) or temples. Another major road extension is proposed on a 4.6 km stretch from Naya Ghat to Uday Crossing, where the road will be 24 feet wide (12 feet on either side of the divider). Another local trader said that the traders want it to be reduced to 20 feet.
