samsung today announced the launch of its latest external storage device, the T7 Shield Portable Solid State Drive (PSSD). The new SSD external drive delivers fast data transfer speeds and reliability in a durable, credit card-sized design.
The T7 Shield is the newest addition to the Samsung T7 Portable SSD family that includes the T7, a daily driver that delivers fast speeds in a sleek design, and the T7 Touch, a PSSD with a built-in fingerprint sensor for enhanced data security.

Available in External Rugged SSD beige, black and blue color options and it is available in 1TB and 2TB sizes.

Samsung T7 Shield External SSD Drive: Features
The SSD drive comes with an IP65 rating and features a compact and lightweight design. The T7 Shield is also shock-resistant and the company claims that it can sustain a fall of up to three metres.

Samsung claims that they have optimized the performance of the product to offer better and consistent performance in the long run and also minimize performance degradation and overheating when transferring large files.
The drive is also compatible with multiple devices and works with PC, Mac, Android and gaming consoles.
Additionally, T7 Shield has enhanced security (*256-bit AES, Advanced Encryption Standard) with hardware encryption so that consumer data can be securely protected, even if the T7 Shield is lost. Samsung has also provided access to Samsung’s Magician software that lets users manage drives with ease.
