YouTube starts rolling out new like animations on its platform – Times of India

9to5Google has reported that the new Like animation has been around for some time now. It seems that initially, YouTube rolled out this feature for select users as several users reported the feature a month ago on the /r/YouTube subreddit.
However, the feature is now available to a wider audience on Android and iOS devices. The web version of YouTube still has the regular Like button. As of now, the report does not reveal whether the new Like animation is on the desktop version or not.
As far as the new Like animation is concerned, users will notice a new fireworks and streamer animation around the thumb icon of the Like button. The whole artwork also rises and bounces for a while and changes its color from green to red and then back to normal.
The company has also updated the dislike button, but animation is not available in it. Instead, users will now see a new Learn More pop up that will redirect them to the Creators Update page on YouTube with details of recent changes.
How to Get New Like Animation on the YouTube App
As mentioned, this feature is rolling out to users and is a server-side update. So, as of now there is no option in the setting to enable or disable the feature.
