Samsung India said that it will recruit over 1,000 fresh engineers from IITs, BITS Pilani, IIITs and NITs across the country in this recruitment session.

He said that about 260 of these new recruits will be from IIT campuses in Delhi, Kanpur, Mumbai, Chennai and other cities, while the rest will come from engineering colleges including BITS Pilani, IIITs and NITs.

Mr. Wadhawan said, “We hire students from multiple streams, including Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics & Computing, Instrumentation and Information Technology, to support our efforts to create innovative solutions to India-specific challenges. want to take.”

These engineers will be deployed at Samsung’s R&D centers in Bengaluru, Noida and Delhi from June 2022. These centers currently have about 10,000 engineers.

‘1,000 more next season’

Samsung said it made 1,200 campus offers in 2019 and awarded them all to candidates who joined between May 2020 and early 2021. The company will continue to hire some 1,000 people in 2022 as well, Mr Wadhawan said.

On the competition of talent, rising jobs and wage growth, he said that it is true that some organizations are paying aggressively to retain the talent. However, compensation wasn’t the only thing that forced employees to stay back.

Instead, employees were looking for a holistic experience at workplaces that offers the freedom to learn, innovate and work on cutting-edge technologies, he explained.

“Therefore, enterprises have to find innovative solutions to increase the demand for talent. They have to create a holistic experience so that employees can learn, grow and have fun, and they also stay with you,” Mr. Wadhawan said.

Samsung also plans to hire experienced professionals to fill sales and manufacturing roles.
