IND vs SL: Team India batsman Sanju Samson has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the India vs Sri Lanka T20I series, the BCCI confirmed on Wednesday (January 4).
“Sanju Samson has been ruled out of the rest of the T20I series. The All India Senior Selection Committee has named Jitesh Sharma as Sanju Samson’s replacement,” the BCCI tweeted.
“Samson injured his left knee while trying to bowl near the boundary ropes during the first match. T20I at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The BCCI medical team took him to Mumbai this afternoon for scans and expert opinion and he has been advised rest and rehabilitation.”
