Seasonal flu: Dengue returns with the change of season while Influenza is still rampant

Seasonal Flu: Four new cases of dengue have been reported in Gautam Buddha Nagar in the last 10 days, taking the total number of cases to 20 in the district.

The concerned authorities have intensified their efforts to prevent the accumulation of garbage and debris. To curb the outbreak of mosquitoes, the administration is also intensifying fogging and spraying of anti-larva drug.

In view of vector borne diseases, the health department has instructed the societies to clean the swimming pools as soon as possible. The department has warned that if the society does not do so, fine will be imposed.

Awareness campaign is also being run by the department for the prevention of vector borne diseases. The risk of vector-borne diseases has also increased due to mercury being above 18 degree Celsius.

According to District Assistant Malaria Officer Shruti, four more dengue patients have been found in the last 10 days. Earlier, 13 cases were reported in January and three in February. Of these, nine belong to government hospitals and others to private hospitals.

He said that all private hospitals have been instructed to immediately inform the health department about the arrival of suspected dengue patients.

Along with making people aware, wherever there is waterlogging or wherever there is a possibility of finding larvae of dengue or malaria, the health department team is going and issuing notices to the concerned and fine will be imposed if the cleaning is not done soon. will also be imposed.

The health department has set up a lab in the district hospital and instructed private hospitals to send samples of patients suspected of dengue to the lab for testing.

All the private hospitals in the district have been asked to inform the health department if any dengue patient or dengue patient comes to the hospital.
