Death of an army soldier: In a shocking news from Uttar Pradesh, an Indian Army jawan died after he was allegedly pushed under a train by a Passenger Ticket Examiner (TTE) at Bareilly Junction.

According to a Government Railway Police (GRP) official, the deceased has been identified as Sonu Singh, 31, a resident of Ballia in Uttar Pradesh.

Inspector-in-charge of GRP Bareilly, Ajit Pratap Singh said that after the post-mortem on Thursday, November 24, the body of the jawan was handed over to his family. Subedar Harendra Kumar Singh

The deceased jawan, posted in the Rajput battalion in Jaipur, was allegedly pushed off the Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express on platform number 2 of Bareilly Junction railway station on November 17.

According to Subedar Singh’s complaint, Sonu was going to Delhi and got down from the train at Bareilly station at around 9.15 am to get a bottle of water. In his complaint, Subedar further said that one leg of Sonu was broken and the other was badly crushed.

Earlier, railway officials had claimed that after an argument between the two over the ticket, Bor pushed the army man in a fit of rage.

“Doctors performed three surgeries on Sonu Singh at the military hospital, but his severely damaged leg also had to be amputated on Monday.

During this he remained unconscious and died on Wednesday evening.

He further said that TTE Bor is still absconding and four teams have been sent to arrest him. A case of culpable homicide has been registered against him.
