Shocking: Lizard found in chicken salad at a popular Delhi restaurant

There are many cafes, restaurants, eateries and other places that Delhiites like to visit. As much as we love the food there, we always expect it to be hygienic and made from good quality ingredients. However, in recent times, there have been several cases of cafes and restaurants not meeting the hygiene standards. Recently, in a shocking incident, a lizard was reportedly found in one of the meals of a popular eatery in Delhi. On Instagram, a man shared the video from inside the cafe and shared his experience. As the video is doing the rounds on the internet, it has certainly created concern among many.

According to Instagram user Asmi Sehgal (@asmisehgal), she ordered a chicken salad along with other entrees from the menu. In the chicken salad, he found a dead lizard and added that the cafe had only apologized to him and did not take any further action. He also expressed doubts over the hygiene standards of the eatery. In the caption of the video, he claimed, “We found a lizard in food at the very famous Diggin Cafe. I request everyone to share this as it is not acceptable.” Watch his video here:

Ever since the video was uploaded to Instagram, it has garnered over 82.2K views and over a thousand likes and several comments. Many people have reacted to the cafe’s food standards. Check out some of the reactions below:

“File a complaint against the cafe. Lizards have a lot of venom. If, by any means, someone consumes it, it can cost their whole life. Shame on the kitchen staff who maintain cleanliness and safety. Couldn’t follow the measures.”
