Monday triggers an overwhelming sense of anxiety, stress and dread about starting the workweek for most people. Many people face a lack of passion, motivation, and even feel lethargic, a cluster of negative emotions known as the Monday blues. Even prominent celebs are not spared from going through such stressful emotions and Union Minister Smriti Irani’s latest post is proof of the same. She posted a hilarious Hera Pheri meme on Instagram that might not be enough to drive away your Monday blues, but will definitely make you laugh out loud.
Hera Pheri, a hit cult comedy film continues to entertain Bollywood Buffs becomes the centerpiece of Smriti Irani’s Monday Blues reel whenever played. She used a hilarious visual to describe her feelings and a barrage of users found it relatable. The scene shown in the clip begins when tenant Raju (played by Akshay Kumar) tries to threaten his landlord Baburao (played by Paresh Rawal) to leave his house. The main purpose of Raju’s threat fails when Baburao allows him to leave. “Tu ja re (you go man),” says the Paresh Rawal character, a dialogue that has become iconic over time.
Smriti Irani used the funny scene by tagging Baburao and Raju as Monday and Sunday respectively to provide comic relief between rejoining the working day from weekend and starting the working week again. Sharing the Hera Pheri meme, the Union Minister wrote, ‘When you want to tell Sunday. Take it on Monday. Watch the funny reel here:
The hilarious post has garnered over two lakh likes on the photo-sharing application and over fourteen thousand likes. Apart from the overwhelming response, many have found the clip extremely relatable. One user wrote, “This reel sums up everyone’s feelings,” while another said, “Love Mr. Monday’s ‘don’t-not-care-less’ attitude.” Another joined in, “Haha, you’re cool as a minister. I love it.” Meanwhile, a user wrote, “Ma’am you are fabulous,” and another said, “Sure it seems so.”
