According to local news outlet wSzczecinie, Gacek began attracting attention in 2020 after tourists from neighboring Germany posted a video of the feline on social media. The clip quickly went viral, garnering 4.5 million views. Gesek became an overnight star. Travelers from all over the world flocked here to see the new star of the city.
