Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav can be seen having a fun discussion after India’s four-wicket win over Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Yuzvendra Chahal did not feature in the second ODI against Sri Lanka, but the Indian leg-spinner managed to grab headlines even after the game was over. Chahal, who is known for his witty comments, joked that apart from being Suryakumar Yadav’s batting coach, he is also mentoring Kuldeep Yadav.

In a video shared on BCCI.tv, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav can be seen having a fun discussion after India’s four-wicket win over Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Kuldeep came back with a bang India side during the second ODI.

,We are Surya’s batting coach, now Kuldeep Yadav has also become the bowling coach. Note this down. (I am already Surya’s batting coach; now I am also Kuldeep Yadav’s bowling coach. Note this.),” Chahal said in a video shared on BCCI.tv.

Kuldeep Yadav, who took three wickets in the second ODI, was adjudged man of the match. Talking about his stellar performance, The Chinaman thanked Chahal for giving him valuable suggestions. Kuldeep revealed that Chahal’s vital tips helped him put up a match-winning show in the match against Sri Lanka. In ODIs, Kuldeep has so far taken 122 wickets in his name after playing 74 matches.

In the final ODI, Yuzvendra Chahal missed the match due to right shoulder pain and was replaced by Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep took full advantage of the opportunity with a tremendous performance. Kuldeep gave away 51 runs after completing 10 overs. The 28-year-old took the wickets of Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Kusal Mendis, captain Dasun Shanaka and Charith Aslanka. India pacer Mohammad Siraj also bagged three wickets in the fixture. The defending Asia Cup champions were bundled out for a total of 215.

KL Rahul played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 64 runs which helped the hosts comfortably chase down the target with 40 balls to spare.

The third and final ODI of the series is to be played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. India come into the ODI series after getting the better of Sri Lanka in the T20Is.
