SVF Entertainment launches retail chain in Kolkata

Dayalis managing director Saksham Mohta said it has already opened two stores in the city and plans to open five more in the next six months.

Delis is employed as an omni-channel retail chain to provide a one stop solution for daily essentials. Mohta said in a statement, “It is the first retail store to sell groceries, everyday items and medicines under one roof and also the first to promise efficient delivery within just one hour of placing an order. “

The idea behind Delis Stores is to be the neighborhood store in the city with ‘every day low price’ facility where customers can enjoy offers and discounts on all products every day. The company said this helps customers save money and find everything under one roof, leading to faster deliveries keeping in mind the COVID pandemic.

“Keeping in mind the consumer needs and experience, Delis strives to ensure the best of customer service,” Mohta said.

The company wants to expand its footprint beyond Kolkata and enter into other districts as well as rural areas.

It said Dellis will hire a delivery team and invest in electric vehicles (EVs) for home delivery. The company is currently in the process of developing its own online ordering app.

SVF Entertainment claims to be the largest entertainment company in Eastern India dealing in film and TV content production, film distribution, digital cinema and music. SVF has produced over 135 films, including famous films such as: Chokher Bialik, raincoat, Memories in March, Chitrangada, Chotodar Chobi and, recently, a jay chilo king.

A few years back, it also forayed into the video streaming space with the launch of Hoichoi, a one-stop online destination for Bengali entertainment – an on-demand video streaming website and app with over 500 movies, original web series and original movies.
