Symphony Orchestra of India’s Call to Musicians

The Mumbai-based Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) invites Indian musicians to send compositions.

Selected compositions will be performed or recorded by musicians from SOI or SOI Chamber Orchestra. Musicians will get honorarium and publicity on National Center for the Performing Arts and SOI social media platform.

“SOI has always been at the forefront of providing a platform to encourage musical talent. Through the Call for Composers initiative, we aim to promote our local musicians and present their work to a much larger audience,” says violin virtuoso Marat Bisengaliev, director of the orchestra.

The orchestra, founded in 2006 by Khushru Ann Suntook and Bisengaliev, has worked with renowned conductors including Charles Dutoit, Martin Brabins, Carlo Rizzi, Alexander Anisimov, Christoph Poppen, and more.

Applicant must be above 18 years of age and must have Indian Citizen or Overseas Citizenship of India Card.
