Schools and colleges in Tamil Nadu, closed due to concerns over coronavirus cases, will reopen on February 1, the state government announced today. Night curfew has also been lifted from yesterday.
According to the new rules, the number of guests in weddings has been fixed at 100, while only 50 guests are allowed for funerals.
Places of worship will be allowed to remain open on all days.
The 50 per cent occupancy restriction at present for restaurants, salons, cinemas, gyms, yoga centers will remain in place.
There shall be no cultural and community events or exhibitions by the government or private entities, as per rules.
