Tata Motors to announce Punch Micro SUV prices on October 18, 2021

The new Tata Punch is set to go on sale in India on October 18, 2021. It will be India’s smallest and most affordable SUV. Tata Motors, which will be positioned below the Nexon subcompact SUV in the line-up. The bookings for the car have already started with a token amount of Rs 21,000. The Indian carmaker has already revealed the micro SUV, and we have a good idea of ​​its variants, features and specifications. However, what is unknown is its prices, which will be announced at the time of launch. We expect it to be priced in the range of ₹ 5 Lakh to ₹ 8 Lakh (ex-showroom).

We expect Tata Punch prices to start at ₹ 5 Lakh and go up to ₹ 8 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Once launched, Tata Punch The Mahindra KUV100 will compete with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Maruti Suzuki Swift. The Punch is the third car from Tata Motors after Nexon and Altroz ​​to receive a 5-star safety rating for adult safety in the Global NCAP crash test. It is the first SUV to be built on the ALFA-ARC (Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture) platform.

The Tata Punch will be available in four variants – Pure, Adventure, Finished and Creative. The carmaker will offer the mini SUV in six color options – Orcus White, Tornado Blue, Calypso Red, Meteor Bronze, Atomic Orange, Tropical Mist and Daytona Grey. Dual-tone colors are reserved for the top-spec model.

Visually, the Tata Punch gets an aggressive front end sporting a signature split lighting design in line with its bigger siblings – Harrier and Safari. It comes with premium features like projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED taillamps and beefy bumpers, underbody and side cladding, faux roof rails and sporty alloy wheels. On the inside, the SUV gets dual-tone interior, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, premium upholstery with tri-arrow design, 7-inch instrument panel, flat-bottom steering wheel, and a push Start-Stop button.

Other key features include automatic climate control, cruise control, cooled glovebox, 4-speakers, auto-sensing wipers and auto headlights, auto fold ORVMs and more. There is also Tata’s iRA connectivity suite optional for the top-end Creative variant. For safety, the micro SUV comes equipped with dual-airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ABS with EBD and an industry-first brake self control. The top-spec model also gets a reverse-parking camera.

Under the hood, the Tata Punch gets a tried-and-tested 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine with Dyna-Pro technology. The motor is tuned to make 84 bhp at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm at 3300 rpm. This is the same engine that is also powered by the Tiago and Altroz. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox along with an optional AMT unit.
