At the same time, another group of teachers has also asked the Delhi government to release more grants immediately, saying these colleges funded by the Delhi government are trying to recruit people from a particular political ideology by pressurizing them. Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) President Ajay Kumar told IANS that teachers of Deen Dayal Upadhyay College, Laxmibai College and Shyam Lal College are being unnecessarily harassed by the chairman of the governing body of the Delhi government.

At the same time, there is pressure on the principals of these 12 colleges of DU to pay salaries to the teachers from the money generated from the student welfare fund. Kumar said the Principal’s Association has repeatedly written to Delhi University Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh about unnecessary interference by the Delhi government.

The Delhi government is running away from its responsibility by not paying the salaries of the teachers of these 12 colleges of DU. The DUTA president said that now DUTA has demanded from the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University that the governing body of the Delhi government should be dismissed.

Hansraj Suman, president of Delhi Teachers Association (DTA), which is the teachers’ organization of the Aam Aadmi Party, says that efforts are being made to put unnecessary pressure on the Delhi government and deliberately protesting repeatedly at the Chief Minister’s residence. Is.

He said that appointments are to be made to the posts of principals in more than 20 colleges run by the Delhi government, where DUTA and those who support the political ideology of the central government want to appoint teachers on the basis of their political ideology.

Suman said the teachers who followed the political ideology of the central government in Vivekananda College, Bharati College and other DU colleges were not made principals, so the central government did not consider these posts as ‘suitable’ even though these colleges in Delhi The governing body of the government is functional. ,

DU’s 28 colleges are funded by the Delhi government. Of these, 12 are fully funded colleges, which are given 100 percent grant money by the Delhi government. In addition, 16 colleges are partially funded by the state government. In all these 28 colleges, he is run by the chairman of the governing body of the Delhi government.

According to the DTA president, despite the chairman of the governing body, the Delhi government is unable to appoint principals in the 12 colleges run by them as the principal’s selection committee is infiltrated by people of a particular political ideology, due to which it is the Delhi government. Colleges are unable to appoint principals.

The DTA has also urged Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to immediately release the grants of 12 fully funded colleges affiliated to the Delhi government.

The DTA says that due to non-release of grants, teachers of many colleges have not received promotion dues for the last two months. Along with this, permanent and ad-hoc teachers and employees in these colleges are facing serious financial crisis due to non-payment of salaries.

The DTA also said that now the grant has been released by the Delhi government due to which the teachers have now been paid salaries. Along with this, the DTA chairman also admitted that the full grant has not been released yet.

The DTA has said that several months have passed since the teachers were promoted, but they have not been paid the dues till date. Similarly, the medical bills of the teachers have also not been paid. The teachers have told the DTA that the LTC bills and pension of the retired teachers have not been paid.

DUTA says that the crisis of releasing grants and salaries in 12 colleges funded by the Delhi government is deepening. The teachers and staff are facing problems due to inadequate and irregular grants released by the Delhi government. The Delhi government is continuously ignoring and treating the colleges funded by it in a dehumanizing way.

The DUTA president said that salaries of teachers and other employees of colleges funded 100 percent by the Delhi government, 7th pay commission arrears, promotion arrears, medical bills are still pending. In many colleges, even the salary for the last two-three months has not been given.

DUTA Secretary Surendra Singh said that the career of these teachers is stuck due to non-approval of the posts of ad-hoc teachers working in these 12 colleges. The Delhi government has made Delhi College of Arts and Commerce redundant. The college has been merged with the Department of Fine Arts of Ambedkar University, adding to the problem.
