Unpaused: Naya Safar, a Hindi anthology featuring five unique stories depicting the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on people, will premiere globally on Prime Video from January 21. This compilation ties together the feelings of love, longing. Fear and friendship and hope have been brought to life by filmmakers like Shikha Maken, Ruchir Arun, Nupur Asthana, Ayyappa KM and Nagraj Manjule.
After the overwhelming response to the first edition, ‘Unposed’, which premiered in 2020, the sequel features an ensemble cast of Saqib Saleem, Shreya Dhanwantri, Neena Kulkarni and Priyanshu Painyuli.
Short films in the anthology include ‘Teen Tigda’ directed by Ruchir Arun, ‘The Couple’ directed by Nupur Asthana, ‘Gond Ke Laddu’ directed by Shikha Maken, ‘War Room’ directed by Ayyappa KM and ‘Vaikuntha’ directed by. Nagraj Manjule.
The short films in the anthology include –
• Teen Tiggada directed by Ruchir Arun; Starring Saqib Saleem, Ashish Verma and Sam Mohan.
• Duet directed by Nupur Asthana; Starring Shreya Dhanwantri and Priyanshu Painyuli.
• Gond Ke Laddu directed by Shikha Maken; Starring Neena Kulkarni, Darshan Rajendran and Laxveer Singh Saran.
• War Room directed by Ayyappa KM; Starring Geetanjali Kulkarni, Rasika Agashe, Poornanand Vandekar and Sharvari Deshpande.
• Vaikunth directed by Nagraj Manjule; Starring Arjun Karache and Hanumant Bhandari.
