“The whole city will know…”: Woman’s ad changed on “filthy cheater” partner

The full-page ad seems to have made the morning of many people who rolled on the floor.

New Delhi:

An unusual advertisement in an Australian newspaper has caught everyone’s attention. That’s because a disgruntled woman decided to shame her “cheating” partner through a full-page ad. The photo of the advertisement has now gone viral, which has stunned people on the internet.

The photo was shared on Facebook by weekly newspapers Mackey and Whitsunday Life after a barrage of questions about the ad. “Dear Steve, I hope you’re happy with that. Now the whole town will know what a dirty cheater you are. From Jenny,” the ad read.

Well, his revenge was not limited to this. As per the picture, the woman finally revealed that she paid for the advertisement using her partner’s credit card. “PS. I bought this ad with your credit card.”

As the newspaper spread, it aroused the curiosity of readers, who soon reached out to the publication to ask for details on the advertisement. The newspaper shared in a Facebook post that it was “inundated” with messages about the ad and decided to address it.

“This morning we have been flooded with dozens of messages about the ad on Page 4 of McKay Life – because there are too many to answer; we would like to address it here,” the publication wrote.

Clarifying the questions, the newspaper insisted that they did not know about the person, Steve, who is mentioned in the ad. “But apparently he has been very bad,” it added. The publication also clarified that they would not disclose any details about Jenny. Interestingly, the newspaper said that they “did not charge credit cards in the context.”

The full-page ad, it seems, had made many people’s mornings, except for Steve, who rolled on the floor.

Users soon took to the comments section with their amusing responses. “Good on you, Jenny. Hope karma bites her big time,” wrote one user.

Another said, “Good on you, Jenny.”

“Well done dude,” read one of the comments.
