After nearly two weeks, the single-day tally of COVID-19 in Visakhapatnam district was below the 1,000-mark on Sunday.
According to the COVID-19 State Bulletin, in the last 24 hours ended Sunday morning, 853 new infections were recorded in the district. During the same period, three more persons, who were undergoing treatment for the virus, succumbed to the virus.
The number of active cases has come down below the 1,000 mark and has gone up to 9,937.
