Meanwhile, at 1 am, Bharath Kumar, 19-year-old Chintadripet, who is a fan of actor Ajith, climbed atop a tanker lorry, which was moving slowly and danced in celebration. Police said he fell from the lorry and fractured his spine.

He was taken to Government Kilpauk Hospital where he died without responding to treatment in the early hours of Thursday. Traffic Police, Koyambedu has registered a case and is investigating.
