Yet here are five tips you can incorporate into your daily life, to strike the right balance, and lead a fulfilling and manageable lifestyle as a working mom.

As a mom, finding a work-life balance can often feel like a juggling act. The demands of parenting and the pressure of work can become overwhelming. It is not unusual to feel tired and stressed more often. That’s why it’s important to find ways to strike a healthy balance between the three aspects of your life: yourself, motherhood, and work. It’s about setting clear boundaries, including prioritizing self-care, whether that means exercising, meditating, or simply relaxing.

Balance is also about remembering that balance doesn’t mean perfect balance. Some days work may take priority, while other days family obligations may require more attention. Yet here are five tips you can incorporate into your daily life, to strike the right balance, and lead a fulfilling and manageable lifestyle as a working mom:

  1. set the right expectations
Always having high expectations of yourself may not be the most ideal. Only setting realistic goals and targets is the key to a more balanced life. Something that is achievable and doesn’t make you feel overwhelmed. Also, make sure you don’t have too many expectations from your kids. Learn not to burden them or yourself with your aspirations and dreams. It is important to take things in stride. Try to communicate your needs and limits to your employer and family members, and don’t take on more than you can handle.
  2. practice self-care
Remember that you will not be able to take care of others until you are able to take care of yourself. This means taking breaks when needed. Don’t feel guilty for doing this. Also remember that it’s important to eat healthy, exercise, and get enough sleep. Practicing self-care helps you maintain your physical and mental health, and prevents burnout. Never feel guilty for taking some time for yourself. As a working mom, you already have your hands full. Sometimes, it’s also important to put yourself first.
  3. Build a Support Network
The old African saying “It takes a village to raise a child” is true. It’s important to have a support network of family, friends, and coworkers who can help you when you need it. Don’t be shy about asking for help when you need it. Delegate tasks when things get overwhelming. It can also be a good idea to build relationships with other working moms who can relate to your struggles. A strong support network is important in helping you feel less lonely and overwhelmed.
  4. learn to say no
Always saying “yes” is not going to make your life easier. Learn to say no to requests and commitments that aren’t in line with your priorities or are overwhelming you. It’s about being clear about your boundaries and not feeling guilty for saying no. It’s also important because it helps you prioritize your time and energy and avoid over-committing.
  5. find time for hobbies
Just because you have responsibilities on your shoulders doesn’t mean you can’t find time for yourself and neither should you. In fact, taking care of your mental health is more important than ever. Make it a priority to schedule time for activities you enjoy, whether it’s reading, painting, or exercising. Making time for hobbies helps you maintain a sense of balance and fulfillment in your life outside of work and motherhood.
