Toyota Innova Hycross to debut in November: To get a stronger hybrid petrol engine but not diesel – Times of India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor is all set to unveil its new generation Innova Highcross globally in November 2022 Innova The Hycross was recently spotted testing on the Indian roads.
Toyota Innova Hycross Looks Bigger Than Current Innova Crysta on sale. Innova Hybrid Will be offered as a premium alternative to the existing MPV and will be sold alongside.
Talking about the design, the new Innova gets a straight design with strong character lines and a shape towards the boxier. The car gets a redesigned wraparound taillights and a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels. The front end will also be redesigned, with a new bumper with a bigger grille, as well as new headlamps that will make the Innova Hycross sharper and more modern.
The Toyota Innova Hycross will be based on the TNGA-C monocoque architecture. It is expected to be lighter than the Innova Crysta and will have a FWD configuration. Apart from the updated design, Toyota could also offer a hybrid MPV with some new and modern features like 8-inch infotainment system, 360 camera, semi-digital instrument cluster and an electric sunroof.
Talking about the powertrain part, Toyota will no longer offer a diesel engine in the new Innova Hycross. The new Innova Hycross will be powered by a 2.0-litre NA strong hybrid petrol engine mated to an e-CVT gearbox.
We expect Toyota to price the new Innova starting at Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, it continues to compete with the MG Hector Plus, XUV700 and Tata Safari.
