Turkey Earthquake: Indian Army’s field hospital saved many lives in Turkey, NDRF also became ‘angel’

After the devastating earthquake (Turkey Earthquake) in Turkey and Syria on February 6, India had a team of Andy Tactics under ‘Operation Friends’ for the rescue. This team carried out massive rescue operations in Turkey. During this, the Indian rescue team helped thousands of people by becoming angels and saved lives. Andy’s sequencing team has recently returned to India.

So far 40 thousand people have died due to this natural calamity. The pocket of the injured has crossed 70 thousand. Many countries came forward to provide relief to Turkey from the devastating earthquake. In which India is also getting involved. The Indian Army had prepared a field hospital in Hatay province. Where more than 3600 earthquakes are being treated.

This field hospital has been approved at both the national and international levels. This field hospital at Hatay has not made it possible to provide emergency medical services to the injured. There are 04x major surgeries to repair fractures, 63x minor surgeries, 343 minor including 87x POP applications.

This field hospital of the Indian Army has medical, surgery, emergency wards as well as X-ray labs and medical stores. Army teams are working 24×7 to provide relief to the people. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had earlier shared pictures of India’s National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams launching a search operation in Turkey’s Ganjiyatep.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that India has delivered more than 250 personnel, special equipment and other material from five C-17 variants of the efficiency, whose total weight is more than 135 tonnes. The Indian Army last Thursday shared a picture on Twitter in which a woman is seen hugging a man on duty at a field hospital. Meanwhile, the Syrian Embassy in India has issued an appeal seeking help.

A team of Turkish Indians is also in the dog squad for rescue work. These include dogs named Julie-Romeo-Honey and Rambo, who are of Labrador breed and are specially trained. They are experts in smelling and other vital skills during relief operations in disaster affected areas.
