Developed by TVS Racing, the company’s motorsport arm, the One-Make Championship will see 16 participants ride race-spec bikes over four rounds.

TVS says that the Apache RR 310 Asia OMC race bike has been designed and engineered from the beginning. It has received extensive upgrades for enhanced racetrack performance. The 312 cc DOHC, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine develops 38 per cent more power than the road-going Apache RR 310’s 34 bhp, which should output around 47 bhp. Forged pistons, titanium valves and HLHD cams bring all that power. There is a RAM air intake to boost top speed. The race-spec Apache RR 310 OMC also gets lightweight carbon fiber bodywork, wheels and sub-frame. The suspension set has been upgraded from Ohlins to adjustable units and is custom-built. The bike runs on Dunlop soft compound radial racing tyres.

The first race of the series was won by Thai rider Vorapong Malhuan, followed by Indonesia’s Deki Tiamo Aldi with the fastest lap time of 2m28.477s. Australian rider Waris Felix Fleming finished third. In Race 2, Malaysian rider Muhammad Fitri Ashraf won, followed by Worapong and Deki on the podium.
