Raj Bawa, the grandson of Tarlochan Bawa, a member of the 1948 Olympic gold medal-winning hockey team, had set England’s batting unit on fire after coming on as the first change bowler. The Punjab all-rounder took two wickets in the same number of balls, dismissing middle-order batsmen Will Luxton and George Bell cheaply. He took the wicket of opener George Thomas in his third over, who was putting England on show despite losing opener Jacob Bethel and captain Tom Perst to left-arm pacer Ravi Kumar.

He then dismissed all-rounder Rehan Ahmed for 10 and then came back for the final spell and dropped the last English wicket on Sunday. Notably, India became the first side to bowl out England in the U19 World Cup 2022 as Raj and Ravi shared 9 wickets between them.
