The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recently launched a common portal for the recruitment of faculty members-Unified Recruitment Portal for Central Universities or CU-Selection. The CU-Selection portal went live on 2nd May. The Commission has now released the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding the Recruitment Portal on its official website.

CU-Select is designed to meet the needs of all stakeholders in the recruitment process and allow Central Universities to conduct all stages of recruitment independently, as they have been doing so far. The main objective of the portal is to provide an enabling environment for both Central Universities and applicants seeking faculty positions.

Candidates who have some queries or issues regarding CU-selection can visit the official website – curec.samarth.ac.in. The FAQ consists of around 13 questions which explain everything about the Integrated Recruitment Portal in depth. UGC Chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar tweeted about the frequently asked questions on the website.

CU-Select offers a plethora of features to applicants seeking faculty positions in the 54 participating Central Universities of India. The platform provides a consolidated list of job openings across all participating universities, a single login to apply for any vacancy, and a personalized dashboard to manage the application process. Applicants can also use filters to search jobs based on various criteria like location, category, experience, education level etc.

Applicants using the recruitment portal can save time and effort by filling out their application only once and then updating it as needed using the personalized dashboard. This means that they do not need to fill a fresh application every time they apply for a post in a Central University. When candidates want to apply for a given post, their application data will be transferred from their database to the database of the respective university, making the application process streamlined and efficient.

Individuals wishing to apply for faculty positions at any level (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) can register on the portal and provide their details. Registered applicants can choose to receive email alerts once faculty positions are advertised. Applicants can then apply for the posts and track the progress of their applications.
