A man has been arrested for allegedly urinating on a female patient inside a ward of the district women’s hospital in Uttar Pradesh, said police on Thursday, adding that an FIR has been registered in this regard.
Circle Officer Vaibhav Pandey said, “We have arrested one Vikas Singh of Shahpur village for urinating on a woman inside the district hospital. An FIR regarding the incident has also been registered at Kotwali police station.”
A local resident of Sukhpura village informed that the incident took place on Tuesday night, the complaint of the victim read.
The man has been identified as Vikas Singh who entered the ward the victim was admitted in and urinated on her as she lay on the bed, PTI reported.
Police said that Singh hurled abuses at her when she opposed him. “Singh was arrested on Wednesday,” police said.
A similar incident happened on October 3 in the AC-3 coach of Sampark Kranti train in Uttar Pradesh. A 19-year-old passenger “accidentally” urinated on an elderly couple under the influence of alcohol.
The incident occurred after the man under the influence of alcohol walked unsteadily within the coach and urinated close to the elderly couple’s berth.
A retired scientist couple alleged that the incident occurred while they were traveling in the Sampark Kranti Express which runs between Manikpur junction in Uttar Pradesh and Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi.
Ritesh, who happened to be in the same train compartment, stumbled and ‘accidentally’ urinated while walking unsteadily under the influence of alcohol. This resulted in urine droplets inadvertently landing on the couple, Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) of the North Central Railways, Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay said.
The matter was reported to the train’s Ticket Examiner (TTE) who informed the Railway control room of Jhansi. As the train reached Jhansi, the RPF jawans removed Ritesh from the train and started investigating the matter.
