Senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said ups and downs are part of democracy and hoped that the BJP will get another chance to form the government again in Maharashtra.

Addressing a gathering of Mathadi workers in Navi Mumbai on the occasion of the 88th birth anniversary of labor leader late Annasaheb Patil, the former Chief Minister called for speedy resolution of the issues related to the head-loader.

“We will get a chance to come back to power. Ups and downs are part of democracy,” he said.

Fadnavis said if his government had got more time, the issues of Mathadi workers would have been resolved. The Shiv Sena-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government came to power after the assembly elections in October 2019.

“Now, this government has an opportunity to solve the problems of Mathadi workers. I am sure the issues will be resolved. Even if the issues are not resolved..we will get another chance (to solve them). But it is not an issue,” the Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly said, adding that all parties should try to work for Mathadi workers without bringing politics.

Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav and several other Mathadi leaders along with BJP leaders from Navi Mumbai were present in this function. Fadnavis requested the Union Minister to address the issue related to exemption given under Section 194C of the Income Tax Act, which has not been addressed in the new IT portal.
