People have repeatedly expressed their opinion on the inclusion of sex education in the educational curriculum. Now, a private liberal arts college in Utah, USA, has announced an entire class on porn. If you have any doubts, we would like to clarify that “porn movies together” will be shown to students in the classroom. The description of course begins with highlighting that hardcore pornography is as American as apple pie and more popular than Sunday night football.
“Our approach to this billion-dollar industry is as a cultural phenomenon that reflects and reinforces sexual inequalities (but has the potential to challenge sexual and gender norms) and as an art form that requires serious contemplation. require,” the description on the catalog read. In addition, it advocated that the classroom was designed so that students could discuss the sexualization of race, class and gender.
“Together we will watch pornographic films and discuss the sexualization and sexualization of race, class and gender as an experimental, radical art form,” it read. Writer Candace Owens shared a screenshot of the catalog on Twitter with the subject title ‘movie*3000 porn’. “I thought it was a joke, isn’t it. This is a pornography class you can enroll in at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.”

The college has been receiving mixed reactions on social media ever since the course was announced. While some applauded the move, many criticized it, saying that “in a country where we cannot teach our children proper math and proper English… have we chosen it as a classroom?”
In a country where we can’t teach our kids proper maths and proper English…we chose this as a classroom? SMH.

One user wrote, ‘This is a good thing. It would dissect the movies thus giving the younger generation a sense that this is acting, yes it is fun, but it is not realistic sex for “normal” non porn people.
It is a good thing. It would dissect the movies thus giving the younger generation a sense that this is acting, yes it is fun, but it is not realistic sex for “normal” non porn people. A lot of girls are inspired to do things that boys see online because they think it’s really what women like.

Hmm. This is shocking.
But I do not know. If it’s a private class hosted by an industry alumnus that actually addresses the above topics… fine by me. What worries me more than topic and subject matter is the mix of buzzwords. For example “gender norms”.— B. D. B. (@BeeDeeBee1) April 20, 2022
College students are adults. It’s all about personal freedom isn’t it?!!! It can’t be either way!!! Just like other adults who don’t want to be told to wear masks, social distance, and take “when,” these college students (adults) should have the choice of whether or not to take a class.

This is a small, private college in Utah. They can do whatever the hell they want. Attendance is optional and students are adults.

A user also shared the college’s fee structure and tweeted, “If they want to waste money on this, it’s on them.”
