US President Joe Biden responds to voters’ concern about his age, reveals whether he is running for 2024 elections

washingtonUS President Joe Biden, who is facing even lower approval ratings from Democrats, recently defended his working abilities in relation to his age. Biden’s age has always been a point of contention as his critics have said that his alleged health issues could affect his ability to govern the country. Moreover, the next presidential election in the US is due in 2024 and Americans are eager to know whether Biden will run for re-election despite his declining popularity.

In an interview with PBS NewsHour, Joe Biden said he intends to run for president in 2024, but the decision is not yet “firm”. “I haven’t made that decision. I think that’s my intention, but I haven’t made a firm decision yet,” he said.

Biden was also asked how he would like to respond to voters who are concerned about his advanced age (80 years). The US President said that voters should look at his performance in the State of the Union address. “Look at me. That’s all I can say,” he told PBS in the same interview.

“I will be completely honest with the American people if I believe there is a health issue, anything that would prevent me from being able to do my job,” he said.

During his State of the Union address on February 7, Joe Biden attacked the tax system and demanded that companies pay their fair share of taxes.

He said, “I am a capitalist, but pay your fair share. I think many of you at home agree with me and many people know that the tax system is not fair. It is not fair. Look, the Consider that in 2020, America’s 55 largest corporations, the Fortune 500, made $40 billion in profits and paid zero in federal taxes. Zero? Guys, that’s not fair at all.
