The Union Territory of Puducherry on Saturday reported five new COVID-19 cases out of 885 tests. Two cases each were reported in Puducherry and Yanam regions and one case was reported in Mahe region.
Three persons have been cured in the last 24 hours that ended at 10 am on Saturday. The health department said the active cases were 38.
The test positivity rate was 0.56%, the case fatality rate was 1.18% and the recovery rate was 98.8%. Overall there are 1,962 deaths, 1,65,890 cases and 1,63,890 cured. The department said that the Union Territory has so far given 17,11,973 doses of the vaccine.
