mercedes benz India has announced the appointment of Venkatesh Kulkarni as Executive Director and Head of Operations, with effect from June 1, 2022. As a part of his new role, Kulkarni will oversee the electrification as well as technology driven digitization of Mercedes-Benz India.
Venkatesh has been associated with the luxury car maker since 2008 when he joined mercedes benz Research and Development India Pvt. Ltd. (MBRDI), where he currently serves as Vice President and Head of Processes ‘Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain’ and ‘Digital Transformation Accelerators and Data Science’.
The company says it played a key role in creating and establishing an international tech-hub strategy for manufacturing and supply chain. Apart from this, Kulkarni has also worked with leading mass-market manufacturers like Tata Motors-Technologies and Maruti Suzuki India.
