Hong Kong will drop the requirement to wear masks in public from Wednesday, drawing to a close the prolonged Covid era that has battered its economy and stoked the world. Hong Kong leader John Lee told a press briefing on Tuesday that masks would no longer be required outside, indoors or on public transport.
