Video of children covering manhole went viral, Internet praised

The video has been viewed over 18,000 times on Twitter

Goodness does not come with age, nor does it require a great deal of work. Even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Proving this, a video of children covering an open manhole on a busy road has surfaced on the internet. A video posted on Twitter by an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Awanish Sharan is winning hearts on social media.

In the new video, two children can be seen walking on a busy road when they spot an open manhole. But, instead of passing through it, these children bring big pieces of rocks and spread them around the manhole, so that no major accident happens.

The caption accompanying the video read, “You are never too young to make a difference.”

Mr. Sharan often shares motivational and informative posts on his social media handles. Recently he shared a photo on Twitter on the growing importance of saving water.

In the photo, a man is seen standing with a placard in his hand, on which it is written, ‘When flowers are not needed, ask for cut water’. This powerful message caught the attention of many users and they appreciated the simplicity of sending a strong message.

The caption of the now-viral post read, “Half a glass of water at the hotel restaurant. Ask for more only when needed.”
