The duty to appoint polling officers in a constituency in Himachal Pradesh reached a new high today and were seen walking back through thick layers of snow after the polling was over. According to reports, the polling officials covered a distance of about 15 kilometers on snow for six hours to reach the polling center where they were set up.

In a video tweeted by news agency Annie, the officers are seen carrying loads of equipment in heavy clothing to survive the winter. There was no one there to help them. Those snowflakes are seen ruling the snow on the crevices of the mountains. He was returning from a polling center in Chamba district.

Voting took place on Saturday for the 68 constituencies of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The counting of votes will take place on December 8.
The state’s Lahaul and Spiti’s Tashigang recorded nearly 98.08 per cent voter turnout in the world’s most poll-bound poll. Out of 52 registered attachments, 51 voted to elect the new state government.
The polling at Tashigang, situated at an altitude of 15,256 feet, made an ideal polling station to make voting easier for senior citizens and vulnerable adjustments.
A total of 55,92,828 decided the fate of 412 in the state.
