Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh underlined that the objectives of the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodi Yatra are purely political and have nothing to do with election concerns. “I don’t think you should associate the yatra with by-elections or assembly elections in Himachal or Gujarat. The purpose of Bharat Jodi Yatra is not just an election, it is a political yatra by a political party. I don’t think electoral prospects are the only part of the yatra. And there are ends,” Mr. Ramesh told NDTV.
