Hundreds of supporters of a self-styled religious preacher were seen breaking barricades put up by police in Punjab’s Amritsar on Thursday to rival the big-budget cinema spectacle. Armed with swords and guns, and surrounding a small bus with loudspeakers, the armada breached the barricades outside the Ajnala police station.
