Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping will hold talks in late December to discuss events for 2022, Russian business daily Vedomosti reported on Tuesday.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the newspaper that the date and agenda of the meeting are already known, but an official announcement will be made later.
The newspaper cited an unnamed source close to the Russian presidential administration as saying it was unlikely the meeting would take place face-to-face.
“The details are being worked out,” the source told Vedomosti.
Russia has drawn closer to China since sending its troops to Ukraine in February.
