VP Dhankhar inaugurated NCC Republic Day camp

New Delhi: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated the NCC Republic Day Camp 2023 in New Delhi on Saturday and lauded the contribution of NCC in nation building by inculcating the spirit of character, brotherhood and selfless service among young students.

A contingent of NCC cadets drawn from the three wings of the Army, Navy and Air Force presented a guard of honor to the Vice President on the occasion.

He said that NCC over the years has created a truly vibrant and diverse cadre of motivated and disciplined youth who are doing excellent work in all walks of life.

The Vice President said, it will always be a memorable moment for the NCC, the world’s largest youth organization and especially for the cadets performing at Amritkal on the path of duty.

Dhankhar also visited the “Hall of Fame” which has been recently renovated and the flag field where he heard the young cadets giving information about their states and various social themes displayed in the flag fields prepared by them. is appreciated.

A total of 2,155 cadets including 710 girls from all 28 states and 8 union territories are participating in the month-long camp.

Cadets and officers from 19 friendly countries will also participate in the camp under the youth exchange programme.

Cadets participating in the camp will participate in a number of activities like cultural competitions, national integration awareness programmes. Two marching contingents of NCC will participate in the Republic Day Parade on 26 January. The myriad and demanding activities will culminate with the PM’s rally on the evening of 28 January 2023.
