Watch: Hardik Pandya caught abusing teammate during India vs Sri Lanka 2nd ODI

Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya was caught on stump microphone abusing a substitute partner for not giving him water on the field. The incident took place on Thursday (January 12) during the second ODI against India Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens, It was during the end of the 11th over when Pandya abused India’s 12th man.

The video of the incident is going viral on social media and fans are questioning the attitude of the all-rounder.

Brilliant bowling from spinner Kuldeep Yadav and pacer Mohammed Siraj bundled out Sri Lanka for just 215 in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Thursday, with debutant Nuwanidu Fernando scoring a half-century. Opting to bat first, Sri Lanka lost their opener Avishka Fernando to pacer Mohammed Siraj, who once again impressed with the new ball in the powerplay. Fernando’s stumps were broken on 20 off 17 balls and the visitors were 29/1 in six overs.

Thereafter, debutant Nuvanidu Fernando and wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Mendis took the Lankans through the mandatory powerplay of the first 10 overs. At the end of the first 10 overs, Lanka were 51/1, with Nuwanidu (16*) and Kusal (11*) at the crease. Spin was finally introduced into the attack and it did the trick, ending a 73-run partnership between the two. Kusal was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav after scoring 34 runs in 34 balls. Sri Lanka’s score was 102/2 in 17 overs. Axar Patel removed Dhananjay de Silva for a golden duck in the very next over, reducing Lanka to 103/3.

Nuwanidu brought up his maiden half-century on his ODI debut in 62 balls, but KL Rahul and Shubman Gill He was run out for 50 off 63 balls. Kuldeep looked absolutely unstoppable, dismissing captain Dasun Shanaka for two and Charith Aslanka for 15 off 21 balls. Sri Lanka’s team has lost six wickets for 126 runs in 24.2 overs. All-rounders Wanindu Hasaranga and Dunith Velalej then helped the visitors cross the 150-run mark.

Hasaranga looked in good touch and played some good shots. But ‘Jammu Express’ Umran Malik sent the all-rounder back with a 17-ball 21. Lanka were now 152/7 and were in deep trouble. Chamika tried to fight back for the Lankan and add some runs on the board, but could not do much as Umran got Chamika out for 17 off 25 balls to get her second wicket. Australia were 177/8 at this point.

Sri Lanka crossed the 200-run mark in 37.3 overs. But Siraj scored 32 off 34 balls in two consecutive balls, dismissing Velez and dismissing Lahiru Kumara for a duck. Lanka were bundled out for 215 in 39.4 overs. Kuldeep was the best bowler for India, taking 3/51. Siraj took 3/30 while Umran took 2/48. Akshar Patel got a wicket.
