Earlier, his video of him training at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association gym where he was working out went viral.

After retiring from international cricket, Dhoni is only in the Indian Premier League and next season he will be seen again in Chennai Super Kings. CEO Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that Dhoni will continue as the captain of CSK for one more season.

After announcing his retirement from international cricket in 2020, Dhoni was last seen in action during the 15th edition of the IPL earlier this year. Meanwhile, he had already announced that he would return to play for Chennai next season. Speaking on the toss of CSK’s final game in the 2022 edition of the IPL, Dhoni said, “Definitely, because it would be unfair to say no to Chennai. It would not be nice to do this to CSK fans.” Meanwhile, he will take a final decision on his IPL career after next season as it is highly likely that the 2023 edition will be his last.

Recently, Dhoni inaugurated the Super Kings Academy M S Dhoni Global School in Hosur.

During the event, Dhoni interacted with a lot of school children who were already in awe of the former India captain. One of the kids asked him about his role models while growing up. Dhoni said that he admires and follows master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

“My cricketing role model has always been Sachin Tendulkar. I was just like you guys. We used to watch Sachin play and I want to play like him. Later, I realized that I could not play like him, but deep down in my heart, I always wanted to play like him. So, he was a cricket role model growing up,” Dhoni said.
