WATCH: Pastry chef’s incredible chocolate chessboard stuns the internet

Whether for its amazing versatility or its delicious flavor – chocolate is one of the favorite ingredients on pastry chefs’ radars. Foodies often see these chefs working with different types of chocolates to create wonderful and surprising desserts. From cakes to brownies, truffles to mousses – chocolate desserts abound. But what would be your reaction if you found a chessboard made of chocolate? Renowned pastry chef Amaury Guichon recently shared this very incredible chocolate chessboard. He shared the video on his official Instagram handle @amauryguichon which has gone viral. The amazing creation has stunned the internet. Take a look at the video shared by him:

“Chess game! A delicious triple chocolate cake in disguise. You only get to eat when you win,” teased the chef guichon In the caption of the post. The Instagram reel video has garnered over 23.2 million views and 2 million likes since it was posted.

In the video, he showed how the chocolate chessboard was crafted from scratch. Chefs used many different techniques and varieties of chocolate to make the chessboard. A lot of attention to detail was given by celebrity chefs as the icing on the cake (literally!).

Amaury Guichon further explains what exactly went into making this chocolate-based chessboard. “This very fizzy triple chocolate cake in disguise is made from a double chocolate chip cookie, a crunchy recombined streusel, a dark chocolate Ganache, a moist dark chocolate sponge, a layer of milk chocolate cremeaux and a light white chocolate mousse. All the added decorative elements are crafted in dark and white chocolate,” he wrote.

Internet users couldn’t help but praise the skilled pastry chef on a chocolate chessboard. Many people gave him full marks for creativity and the hard work he put into making the composition paid off. “Honestly it was a Masterpiece I didn’t like watching it bite,” wrote one user. Another added, “Now you can actually eat your opponent’s chess pieces when they’re not looking!”
