Let’s admit it, nothing compares to the comfort of biting into a freshly baked pizza with crispy crust, topped with meat or veggies and oodles of cheese. It is undoubtedly one of the most loved Italian dishes and has fans across the globe. It doesn’t matter where you are in the world, you’ll always find pizza to satisfy your cravings. Recently, Pizza Hut, the American multinational restaurant chain, went a step further to show their love for this Italian delicacy as they attempted to create the world’s largest pizza ever.
As Reuters reports, this record-breaking pizza will be 1,310 square meters in size and have 68,000 slices once completed. To make a pizza, a rectangular slice of pizza dough is spread along the base. The dough is then colored with pizza sauce before cheese and pepperoni are added. Since no oven can accommodate such a large pizza, it will be cooked using cooking equipment that hovers over the pizza pieces. Take a look:

The pizza is currently being assembled at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the US. Speaking to Reuters, Pizza Hut President David Graves said that no food will be wasted in this record-breaking effort as pizza slices will be donated to local food banks once the record is verified.

Graves continued, “Pizza Hut has a history of being first. We were the first to deliver pizza, we were the first to take orders on the Internet. We’ve always done big, exciting things. The World’s Largest Pizza World The record felt like the right time to celebrate bringing back our greatest pizza ever. So we did.”
