The video was shared by ‘Special Times’ on July 27. It gives netizens a glimpse into the martial arts practice sessions of Shaolin Kids. The three-minute video begins with a child clinging to a tree. With his eyes closed and his body wrapped around the tree, he is seen meditating to improve his flexibility. The next footage shows a Shaolin monk pulling a child’s upper body backwards while his lower body remained straight. Several techniques that help improve body balance and flexibility are shown in the video.

Children can later be seen performing these techniques efficiently and correctly without breaking a sweat. They are also seen practicing fighting techniques, gymnastics and more in the video. Shortly after it was shared by Special Times, the video garnered over 6.4 million views on Facebook and over 3,900 likes. Meanwhile, netizens argued whether this is the right way for Shaolin masters to teach discipline to children in the comment section of the video.
