A student of a nearby primary school reached the Pedakaduburu police station in Kurnool district of AP to file a case against his classmate for not returning the pencil. The ‘Respondent’ was also present who denied any wrongdoing. After talking to the students involved, the police explained to the young complainant that registering a case would mean that his classmate could go to jail. The complainant then told the police that at least the mother of the ‘accused’ should be informed about his ‘crime’. The police eventually managed to maintain peace and the two students shook hands.
