Mahendra Singh Dhoni completed his schooling from DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Ranchi. M S Dhoni Scored 66% in high school and 56% in intermediate. In 11th-12th, he has gone to play matches outside Ranchi many times. For this he used to take permission from his father.

never felt like studying
MS Dhoni had little interest in studies. Playing cricket was his first priority. Even while giving the exam, it used to run in his mind that he should write so much that the passing marks come. He used to leave the examination hall before the completion of the examination time. After schooling, he got admission in the city’s Gosner College in 1999 through sports quota to pursue B.Com. However, he could never start the course due to his busy cricket schedule.
Along with cricket, Dhoni is also very fond of biking, swimming, playing football and playing tennis. In the year 1993, KR Banerjee, the school’s cricket coach, recognized Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s talent and advised him to try his hand at wicket-keeping.
He is also the recipient of the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award, in the year 2018. He has also been awarded the Padma Shri in the year 2009 and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna in the year 2007-08. In August 2011, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by De Montfort University. Dhoni married Sakshi on 4 July 2010. Sakshi Dhoni and MS Dhoni also have a daughter named Ziva.
