Even after several rounds of talks and meetings, the election strategist, Prashant Kishor, rejected the Congress party’s “generous offer” to join it. He was offered to be a part of the Empowered Working Group set up by Sonia Gandhi. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala announced Kishor’s decision through a tweet. Sources said that after the denial, the grand old party refused to give him a free hand. Prashant Kishor took to Twitter, ending days of speculation. The Congress has been wiped out in the last two Lok Sabha elections and has lost power in several states. Prashant Kishor made a presentation to the Congress leadership on the proposed action plan to revive the party. After the presentation, Sonia Gandhi wanted her to be part of an empowered working group.
