WhatsApp is working on a feature to add captions when sharing documents

WhatsApp users may soon get a feature that will allow them to add a caption to any document they share using the messaging platform. WhatsApp is also reportedly working to add a caption feature to the document sharing option.

According to the webatiinfo website that tracks the development and upcoming features of WhatsApp, a future updated version of WhatsApp will soon have the facility to share documents with captions.

While WhatsApp currently allows sharing of a document, it does not provide the option to write captions to the document. However, the user can share videos, photos and GIFs with captions. Adding caption feature to document sharing will help users to find the document easily. According to the website, the WhatsApp team is now working on the features of the future version of the Android beta app. Once the feature is ready, it will be rolled out for Android and iOS users.
