Why do employees consider changing jobs? 3 biggest reasons found in job survey

Poor career growth, poor work culture and not ‘bad bosses’ are the biggest reasons employees change jobs. A survey by Jobs.com showed that, meanwhile, one of the reasons why employees stick to their jobs is the opportunity to grow within an organization.

The survey was conducted with over 4,600 employees from different sectors and experience levels to understand the relationship between Indian employees and their managers.

Here’s what the survey showed:

A total of 41% of respondents mentioned that poor career growth was the leading reason for leaving their last organizations, followed by poor work culture and company policies (34%). Meanwhile, only 33% said that bad bosses are the reason they left their previous organization.

More than 31% of employees prefer managers who motivate them to perform better and provide timely feedback, the survey also said, “Most employees prefer bosses who focus on maintaining work-life balance.” Let’s focus.”

Indian managers generally follow one-way communication channels (from managers to subordinates), as noted by 36% of employees who took part in the survey.

Male Vs Female Boss:

When it comes to the comparison between male vs female bosses, the majority said that male leaders are considered friendly by nature when employees are asked to vote for them on various characteristics. “In addition, being approachable and open-minded are other key traits that make men ideal bosses,” the job site said.

In this context, when asked what characteristics make female employees good bosses, respondents said that they are better able to promote work-life balance and show respect towards their subordinates.
