Why Sonam Kapoor didn’t react to trolling for maternity shoot: ‘It’s none of my business’

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja were recently blessed with a baby boy. During her pregnancy, Sonam shared many beautiful pictures from her maternity shoot on social media. Of course, some even trolled him for it! In a recent interview, Sonam opened up about the same and revealed why she hasn’t reacted to the negativity on social media or the trolling related to her maternity shoot. The actress mentioned that she knows that she comes from a privileged life and hence she doesn’t want to complain about the trolling. Sonam further said that replying to trolls is ‘not of her use’.

“I feel like what I’ve grown up with is reacting to things I don’t need to react to. Thankfully, a lot of this has come with age, but it’s also because Because I understand that I lead a very lucrative life. I come from a place of extreme privilege and I literally have nothing to complain about, so if someone is saying something negative about me from behind the keyboard, So it’s not really of my use,” Sonam told Vogue.

“If I were to put up anything today to celebrate my body and my womanhood, it shouldn’t be a surprise. I’ve always been a fan of public discussions on issues like dark circles, PCOS, weight gain, and stretch marks. I have been a wonderful person,” said the actress.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja were blessed with a baby boy on August 20. The news of Sonam’s baby boy was first confirmed by Neetu Kapoor on social media. The veteran actress took to her Instagram stories and shared Sonam and Anand’s statement. “On 20.08.2022 we bowed our heads and welcomed our beautiful baby boy with an open heart. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. This is only the beginning, but we know that our lives have changed forever – Sonam and Anand,” the statement read.
